Central America is a small tropical subcontinent formed by Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua, Belize and Mexico, the largest country in the region.
All of these countries take up around 2 million square kilometres of land, with Mexico taking up around 70% of that space, with similar share of the subcontinents population.
